The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified CPA “Financial Accountant” to join our growing team in Lidcombe, Sydney. This opportunity is a 12 month Fixed-term position on a full-time basis.
The Financial Accountant will be the key person supporting the Commercial Finance Manager for the day-to-day operation of the finance department and all its associated functions, including reporting, weekly billing and business cycles, month end, year-end, tax compliance and budget planning.
This position will also assist in maintaining relationships with the majority Shareholder JBS and external parties on Audit and Tax services.
You will be responsible for:
- Support the business as the Australian Tax Compliance SME.
- Deliver timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts to support credibility of the Australian finance function.
- Prepare and drive reporting processes for monthly, quarterly, and full-year financials.
- Prepare and support timely and accurate completion of compliance requirements.
- Support the reconciliation between systems used by the business.
- Support the development and implementation of procurement policies, inventory planning and stock control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all functional areas.
To be a great match to this role you will:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or relevant industry.
- CPA Qualified. (Mandatory)
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering industries.
- Knowledge and practical experience in financial compliance in Australia.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience in either a chartered accounting or corporate environment.
- Attention to detail for accurate financial analysis.
- Ability to build effective internal and external stakeholder relationships in the business.
- Proficiency in data management systems and software’s such as Microsoft Excel, BI and Systeline.
