Procurement Coordinator

The Opportunity

The Procurement Coordinator supports purchasing, inventory management, logistics coordination, and supplier communications to ensure materials, parts, and supplies are available to support company operations. This role serves as a backup to the Senior Buyer and works closely with Service, Assembly, and Engineering teams to maintain inventory accuracy, support production needs, and manage order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and interested in developing a career in procurement, supply chain, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Buyer with day-to-day purchasing activities.
  • Create and manage purchase orders and track supplier deliveries.
  • Source materials, components, and operational supplies from approved vendors.
  • Obtain quotes and pricing from suppliers.
  • Assist with supplier negotiations related to pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and expedite critical orders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor documentation.
  • Maintain supplier databases, vendor logs, and supplier contact information.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order status, shipping issues, and delivery updates.
  • Track freight costs and assist with logistics reporting.
  • Monitor tariffs, duties, and shipping costs that impact purchase decisions.
  • Assist in resolving delivery delays and supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining proper stock levels.
  • Work with Service, Assembly, and Engineering teams to identify inventory and material requirements.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, logistics, administrative support, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
