The opportunity:
Rocklabs is seeking a strategic “Head of Sales” to lead its global sales division, driving performance, growth, and streamlined sales operations in either our Auckland or Perth Office. This leadership role will manage a team of Business Development professionals and sales support staff, focusing on building a strong pipeline, executing key account strategies, and scaling global sales efforts.
You will be responsible for:
- Sales strategy & growth: Lead the development and execution of a global sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share across key regions. Set clear targets, foster strong client relationships, and collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with Rocklabs’ strategic goals.
- Key account management (KAM): Establish and lead a structured Key Account Management framework to enhance strategic relationships with major mining clients. Oversee global client negotiations, drive proactive engagement, and support the BD team in maximising customer retention and long-term value.
- Sales Processes & Pipeline Management: Drive sales efficiency and visibility by standardising processes, enhancing CRM usage, and leveraging data for accurate forecasting and performance tracking. Implement a structured sales pipeline and improve cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless order execution and alignment with production and supply chain planning.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and develop a high-performing global sales team, while collaborating with engineering, service, and marketing teams to align sales strategies with product development, customer success, and brand growth.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in a Head of Sales, Sales Director, or similar senior leadership role.
- Strong track record in B2B sales leadership, strategic sales planning, and team management.
- Experience in the mining, heavy equipment, or industrial sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement global Key Account Management strategies.
- Expertise in sales pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM utilization.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with experience managing high-value contracts and clients.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
