THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity is available for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Auckland based team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role would be ideal for someone who is an experienced machine builder on automated equipment. This is a busy, hands-on role that is primarily responsible for the assembly of standard and customised machinery builds for mining laboratories throughout the world, so excellent dexterity and an eye for detail is essential.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE
- The assembly of machinery both standard and customised and assistance as required with
- Automated linear systems
- Small automation projects
- Installation
- Commissioning and servicing.
- Building automated machines from start to finish and ensure machine has full functionality mechanically.
- Interpreting diagrams, drawings, specifications and plans to determine suitable material and the sequence of operations.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults with tools and machinery.
- Performing regular maintenance.
ABOUT YOU:
- 5+ years experience in a related or similar role
- Machine building experience is essential.
- The legal right to live and work permanently in New Zealand.
- A trade or level 4 Mechanical Engineering certificate in fitting and machining or similar.
- Hold a good level of physical fitness.
- The ability to problem solve.
- Computer literacy on Microsoft suites. E.g Word, Outlook, etc…
- The flexibility and ability to travel as and when required.
