ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ongoing prospecting of new clients both in meat processing and industrial segments.

• Regularly schedule onsite meetings with both existing and new clients to assess their needs for improved safety and demonstrate the benefits of the Scott BladeStop bandsaw.

• Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.

• Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.

• Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.

• Serve as the link communication between key customers and internal teams.

• Consult with potential clients – presenting solutions in a highly engaged manner. Prepare and present compelling proposals and quotations while providing highly responsive feedback to potential customers.

• Maintain contact lists and activities in a highly organized manner. Provide forecasts, special reports and analysis weekly. Utilize the CRM daily (Salesforce).

• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the company products, functions, features, and benefits.

• Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.

• Keep abreast of market trends, requirements and competition. Prepare reports and sales plans for your markets.

• Travel (domestic or internationally) as needed to support all sales efforts. Represent SCOTT at relevant trade shows and conferences (approximately 2-3 per year).

• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstratable skills in new client acquisition and prospecting.

• Track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas.

• Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager (within meat processing, industrial metal cutting, or automation and/or food processing industry)

• Proven ability with selling features and advantages of innovative products.

• Strong listening, qualifying, and solution-driven approach to understanding and solving customer challenges.

• Ability to present technical information in a clear, concise manner. Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in industrial equipment.

• Strong computer skills – including Salesforce CRM, MS Office suite and other business-related programs

• Four-year degree preferred.
