The Opportunity

Scott Systems International is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our Finance team. This entry-level role is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including processing invoices, maintaining customer accounts, applying payments, and assisting with account reconciliations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and eager to learn and grow within an accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
  • Verify invoice approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors.
  • Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Research and resolve customer billing inquiries.
  • Maintain customer account information.
  • Assist with collections activities as needed.
  • Enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems, including cash transactions.
  • Support audits and other financial reviews.
  • Prepare cash flow information and supporting schedules.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail and shipments.
  • Serve as a point of contact for office visitors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Submit and coordinate building maintenance requests and facility-related issues.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or administrative experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
