The Opportunity
We have a unique remote opportunity for a highly motivated Business Development Manager based in Vancouver, Canada to support and co-lead our North American region. The BDM will drive growth by identifying new opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and expanding our market presence. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to join our team and play a critical role in driving revenue and growth by promoting industry-leading systems and products. Remote Work
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Business Development: Actively pursue and secure new business in the mining market by presenting automated solutions for mining applications while developing and implementing strategic sales plans to drive growth. Monitor sales performance, provide regular reports to management, and ensure market expansion aligns with strategic objectives through targeted proposals and quotations.
- Technical Expertise and Product Knowledge: Identify the most suitable company products to meet customer inquiries while showcasing a deep understanding of their functions, features, and benefits. Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to ensure a competitive edge.
- Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key local and international customers while identifying the best company products to meet their needs.
- Theory of Sample: Deep understanding of the Theory of Sampling (TOS) and its methodologies/practices to ensure that samples taken from a mineral deposit or ore body accurately represent the larger mass.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related fields.
- 5-7 years of relevant years of experience in Business development role.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets, winning new business, and driving revenue through successful proposal management.
- Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in automation technologies and sample preparation equipment.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas, proposals, and solutions both verbally and in writing to clients and internal stakeholders.
- The ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
